I hope you are having a great start to the new year.  Our family life has been changing a lot in the last five years.   Our son, Jacob, graduates from college, our youngest, Jenna, not only starts college but goes off and studies abroad, and our oldest, Kayla, blessed us with our first Grandchild.

Kristie was able to be with them for the birth of Frederick Barnabas and stay for several weeks to help.  What a blessing. Jenna traveled at Christmas for more support and now it is my turn.  Yes, it is awesome being a Grandpop! I am amazed at the best grandson ever and how wonderful my daughter is as a mom…ok I’ll stop bragging. :)

What I also notice is the many changes in baby items from car seats to toys.  But the coolest thing ever is this poster called "The Secret Language of Babies".  It helps moms and dads understand the different cries of their baby and what each one means.  It really helps us to respond more quickly to their need.

I have been thinking with all the changes in the world, wouldn’t it be nice if we had a poster like this to help us translate what people are thinking when we talk about church, Christ, and faith?  Well there is, and we are excited to help you navigate the mission field we live in, America.

Join us this Saturday, from 9 to 1 for an interactive workshop that will help us understand the change in our culture and how to respond.  Sign up today through email or phone, 850-520-0900, so we can reserve your spot and be sure to have enough food for lunch for everyone.   Lunch included!!

I look forward to seeing you there.

Jason Scheler, Grandpop
